There’s a website that I started to check out every now and then around a year ago. Basically, it’s a video based website (think Youtube) that was initially geared towards the Hiphop community by showcasing interviews, music videos, etc.
Not sure exactly when, but at some point it evolved into pretty much a one stop shop to see clips of about any and everything ranging from current events in the media to the most random (and often disturbing) acts ever caught on camera.
I think it’s safe to say that it’s the leader at this point in terms of websites of it’s nature based off total viewership and web traffic.
Without a doubt, I’ve contributed quite an amount to the daily visits. I’m always on it!
Thus, I’ve made a decision to abstain from going on anymore.
I’m not passing judgement on the individuals who run or frequent the website. To many, it’s considered pure entertainment. Another angle to look at it could even be to say that it is quite efficient in how it reminds us that we currently live in a world filled with individuals of all kinds who all have different views on life and how they choose to live it.
Let me put it this way. A good seven out of ten times after visiting the website, I end up going offline with an uneasy and sorrow filled feeling. The sorrow doesn’t only come from knowing that there’s bad stuff occurring to so many people. It’s mainly knowing that there are people who find pleasure in viewing it.
I must say, some of the stuff I’ve seen on there is pretty sick and twisted. That might just be reflective of the times we live in.
Nonetheless, I do still find myself curious as to what the latest daily uploads are so it’ll be a personal challenge to stay away.
To each his own.

That uneasy feeling you’re getting: the Holy Spirit within you. I get what you’re talking about. I feel the same when I see/hear/read things of that nature. Most of all what rises in me is an aching love for those people. If I feel that way, how much more does Jesus ache for them? Keep growing brother. It’s a blessing for me to read about.
You’re in my prayers.

hahahahah yeah he is def talking about worldstar. man that place is entertaining but at the same time its just making you shake your head in disbelief and disgust. They got videos with a headlines that say
“Whats the world coming to?” and the video is about a sexual assault, a fight, or snuff video, and right beside it they have videos
oral sex in public
women shaking their booty,
wack rappers trying to grind with their gun videos.
man, its temporary pleasure buts its a lot of negativity over there.
Yo jin you probably heard of this other website, its quite interesting, and though i don’t agree with some of the stuff the various speakers say, they really give you a perspective on things, and they cover various topics. check it out jin and everybody else.

i sound old when saying this but i see how some of the “kids” are today and i know “times change” but manners and respect shouldn’t. it’s kinda sad how things have evolved in certain situations.
